Juvenile involved in parking lot shooting, police say

The Dyersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Q-Mart on East Court Street, leaving two subjects injured and one subject charged.
According to the Dyersburg Police Report, officers responded to the store just before 2 p.m. Monday following a complaint of subjects shooting in the parking lot. Officers arrived to find that all people involved in the alleged shooting had left the scene.
According to the report, the two suspects were located while en route to the hospital, both suffering from gunshot wounds requiring medical attention. A 16-year-old was treated locally, while a 26-year-old local man was transported to Regional One (formerly the Med) in Memphis for treatment of his injuries.
The teenager was cited in court on charges of possessing a Schedule VI drug, marijuana, and unlawful possession of a weapon. All persons involved in the incident have been identified and interviewed by detectives, and charges will be determined following the completion of the investigation.
