Marie Hill Paschall

Bernice Marie Paschall, age 81, of Jackson passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Marie was born on September 12, 1943 to the late Howard Cornelius Hill and Bernice Willodean Edwards Hill and was a lifelong resident of Jackson, TN.

She was married to Morris D. Paschall in the late 1970’s until his passing in 1982. She held several jobs during her life, but two of those were long term employments. She worked as an assistant at Jackson Dental Lab from her mid20’s until her husbands death in 1982. She also worked at Northgate Pharmacy (which is now Phipps Pharmacy) from the mid 1990’s until 2016. Also, Marie was a caregiver to her mother when she became sick with a long illness in 1967 until her passing in 1976.

She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She had several dogs throughout her life but a special bond with two. One was a rescue named Holly. The other was given to her later in life named Penny, who lived to be 15 years old.

Marie had a unique relationship with her only sibling, Lisa, whom Marie helped raise after their mother and father passed away at a young age.

She was also a long time member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Lisa King (Sonny) of Jackson; and two nephews, Christopher King and Nicholas King both of Puyallup, WA.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
