Artwork reveal highlights local veteran’s talent
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A local veterans home reveals new artwork.
Located in Humboldt is the W.D. Bill Manning Tennessee State Veterans’ Home. Friday, the home to those who served for our country revealed new artwork done by one of their own.
Joel Murray, a retired marine and artist shares a little about the mural.
“There’s a little saying here at the bottom here, now I don’t know if anybody’s noticed that. ‘If you can read, thank a teacher, and if you can read this, then thank a veteran.’ And that’s for everybody here,” said Murray.
The mural can be seen at the Tennessee Veterans home at 2865 East Main Street in Humboldt.
