Wonderful Weather For Area Pools’ Opening Weekend

After one of the most hectic springs West Tennessee has seen in recent years, we begin our preparations for Summer. Most area pools will be opening this weekend and with that, we’ll have wonderful weather coming into the region. We have the details right here.

Meteorological Summer:

Meteorological Summer begins Sunday June 1st. The weather here in West Tennessee will begin to reflect that as soon as Monday, when temperatures will begin to climb close to the 90s.

Heat Coming Early:

Monday and Tuesday will be some of the warmest days we’ve seen so far this year. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s with very clear skies. Sunscreen will be your friend after this weekend. Fortunately, the humidity is not expected to climb until later in the week as an unsettled pattern creeps its way back into the forecast.

Storms Return:

Showers and Storms will begin to move into the region Wednesday Night and will hang around through Thursday and even into Friday as our next big system is coming through. As of now, The SPC does not have enough data to support a severe weather threat for West Tennessee on any of the days with storms in the forecast. If there were to be a severe weather threat for us, it would likely be a wind threat primarily. Severe storms across the Mid-South rarely produce tornadoes in June through October.
