Donnell Century Farm hosting weeklong summer camps

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local farm is spending summer teaching kids the importance of faith and agriculture.

Donnell Century Farm is hosting two separate, weeklong camps just in time for summer break.

Everyday kids will learn a new aspect of growing crops and tending to animals.

Monday they learned about cotton and how important it is in our daily lives. They also spent time doing chores such as feeding the animals and cleaning after them.

“So the next we will do is our chores, so we’re feeding, tending the animals and cleaning up. They’ll do a little bit of work and they be a little bit of education and a lot of fun and sometime they’ll make their own snacks and we’ll intermingle all that stuff in there,” said Andrew Donnell, farmer.

The camp will run all week, through Friday, but the camp will return next week with even more fun at the farm.
