THP shares update on fatal crash in Henderson

HENDERSON, Tenn. — Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol have provided a brief update on the fatal fiery crash in Henderson on Thursday morning.

THP confirms two individuals were involved: the driver of a semi truck and the driver of a passenger vehicle.

According to THP, the semi driver was killed in the incident.

The condition of the other driver is unknown at this time, but it’s believed they did not receive life-threatening injuries.

The remains of the deceased have been sent to the Tennessee Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville. According to THP, the identity of the individual will be released following the completion of the medical examiner’s report.

THP says that TDOT has inspected both roads and the overpass near where the wreck occurred, and all were determined to be safe to travel on.

The investigation remains ongoing.
