March for Jesus returns to Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—Christians here in the Hub City join in the nationwide March for Jesus.
At 9 Saturday morning, local Christians gathered at 405 Airways Boulevard in Jackson to take part in the March for Jesus.
The march takes participants down to the Amp, where the event continues with a celebration including music, prayer, and fellowship.
“March for Jesus originated in 1987 in London, England, came into the United States in 91′. Since 1991, there’s been celebration of praises all across the country and around the world actually, bring the church together out behind the walls of our buildings and into the streets to show the love of Jesus Christ,” said Pastor Garry Martin, Jackson First Assembly.
This is an annual event in Jackson allowing Christians to come together in solidarity, ignoring race and denominations to just celebrate their love for Jesus.
