Greater Jackson Chamber named finalist for national Chamber of the Year award
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Greater Jackson Chamber is named a finalist for the prestigious Chamber of the Year award, presented by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
The group has more than 1,000 Chambers of Commerce and related business and economic development organizations as members, representing more than 9,000 professionals in the industry.
The award, sponsored by Growthzone, is the most prestigious and competitive award in the chamber industry, recognizing excellence in operations, member service and community leadership.
Those honored with the Chamber of the Year designation have demonstrated organizational strength and impacted key community priorities, such as education, transportation, economic prosperity and quality of life.
“To compare ourselves to Chambers nationally, gives us a little bit more of a better understanding of ‘yes, we are one of the best chambers in the country,’ and that makes our team feel proud and helps us understand that that community support – that is what makes us successful,” said Kyle Spurgeon, Greater Jackson Chamber President and CEO.
Chamber of the Year winners will be announced Wednesday, July 23, during the awards show, presented by Comcast Business at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ annual convention in Philadelphia.
