Jackson Police Department swears-in new officers
JACKSON, Tenn. — An important swearing-in ceremony was held Wednesday morning in the front lobby of the Jackson Police Department.

The event welcomed six newly-hired JPD officers.
Family and friends gathered as the newly appointed officers were sworn in.
The ceremony was led by Chief Thom Corley.

“It’s always great to have new members of the JPD family come on board, to get our numbers up, to get where we want to be so that we can help protect the City better and also help other divisions within the department and get officers to them as they need them,” said Deputy Chief Gary Benton.
The group took the oath of office and now will begin intensive training to become the next officers to serve the Jackson community.
