Heating Up, First Day Of Summer Friday

WBBJ 7 Forecast Update

Temperatures and humidity are on the rise here in West Tennessee. We can expect to see temperatures to hit the low 90s, but it will feel like up to 105 by the end of the week. We have the forecast details right here.

Monday:

A surface low pressure will move through the area bringing yet another chance for showers and storms into the forecast. The best chance for showers and possibly some embedded thunder would be in the late afternoon/evening hours. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s, but it will feel like the mid 90s.

Tues.-Wed.:

Tuesday and Wednesday sees our chances for pop-up rain and storms drop significantly. Unfortunately, humidity and temperatures will be even higher over the course of the week, with it beginning to feel like 100+ by Wednesday at the earliest.

Thursday:

Unfortunately, showers and storms look likely for Juneteenth. It’s still too far away to have a confident say in whether or not storms will be severe, but we’ll provide updates as we get them. The severe weather threat in June will almost always be damaging winds primarily with hail and tornado threats being near zero for the most part. Temperatures are in the low 90s from Thursday onward through the weekend.

Friday:

Friday marks the official first day of Summer. Temperatures will linger in the low 90s, but it will likely feel like it is somewhere between 100-105. We may see our first round of heat advisories coming out for West Tennessee for the weekend. Don’t cancel your outdoor plans, but definitely do pack a few extra water bottles for any outdoor activities.
