We were able to speak with the Henderson Chief of Police, Gary Davidson, to get some more information on what occurred that night.

“Officers made the scene and there was a deceased individual in the roadway that we are able to identify now. His name is Myron Fulton. 40 years old from Henderson. He had been shot and killed…” said Chief Davidson.

Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, police made an arrest in the murder case. Officials say tips led them to a residence in Adamsville where 35-year-old Ashton Smith-Carter of Henderson was located.

Ashton is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

Chief Davidson told us that it is always important and needed for people to call in and give any tips they can, no matter how big or small they may be.

“Anybody that might have seen anything or heard anything that might be valuable, even as minor as you think it is, if you can give us a call it might be the piece that we need,” said Chief Davidson. “It is huge when we get these tips that come in through the police department. Cause a lot of times when we make the scene it is just evidence that we look at. With these tips, it gives us leads to follow up on that sometimes solve the case.”
