Jackson, TN – June 16, 2025 – Thomas Media, West Tennessee’s pioneering media company, marks its 25th anniversary this year— celebrating a quarter-century of connecting and uplifting West Tennessee through radio, digital solutions, and community events. Founded in March 2000 by Billy and Chip Thomas, the organization emerged from the merger of three radio groups and has since grown to operate five locally beloved stations: WYN 106.9, STAR 107.7, 96 KIX, HOT 96.1, and 102.3 The Rocket.
Building on this foundation, Thomas Media has evolved into a full service marketing agency, enriching lives through entertainment, education, and local updates—while empowering regional businesses with expansive digital advertising and event platforms.
In 2023, the company entered its third generation of leadership, as Tyler Thomas joined his father Chip and grandfather Billy—cementing a true family legacy.
