UT Gardens hosts 3rd annual “Garden Buzz: The Celebration of Pollinators”

JACKSON, Tenn. — Residents were invited to come see what all the “buzz” is about for a special “bee-utiful” learning opportunity.

The 3rd annual “Garden Buzz: The Celebration of Pollinators” event was hosted earlier Tuesday the UT Gardens in west Jackson.

The free, family-friendly event was held in honor of National Pollinator Week.

The event featured arts and crafts, bee displays, honey tasting’s, educational booths from local organizations, and even a tour of the gardens.

“We are promoting plants that attract bees and butterfly’s but also natty plants that do well in our climate. We have children’s activities and this is all made possible by a big sponsor from TVA,” said Jason Reeves, horticulturist for UT Gardens of Jackson.

Attendees also received a selection of free plants to add to their own garden, benefiting pollinators right at home.
