Skaters compete for cash prizes during 3rd annual ‘Summer Jam’

JACKSON, Tenn. — Skaters from around the country gather in Jackson to show what it takes to be a national champion.

The premier national event for competitive jam skating known as “Summer Jam” is back in jackson for the their 3rd season.

The competition is hosted by the National Jam Skating League and features skilled athletes dancing to an assortment of groovy tunes while on roller skates.

This year’s winners will receive over $20,000 in cash and prizes.

“Myself and Jared, the other co-founder are from Utah–Salt Lake City, Utah–We come out to Tennessee because it’s kind of a central location where are the skaters from around the country can meet and compete,” said Jensen Vasic, co-founder of National Jam Skating League.

The event is located at Ritz Magic Wheels on 1112 US-45 Bypass in Jackson.
