Tammy Blanton Jackson Tn Obituary

Tammy Lea Duck Blanton, 54, passed away on June 17, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tammy was born in St. Louis, MO on March 19, 1971, to the late Henry Wayne Duck, Sr. and Cynthia Duck. She graduated from South Side High School in 1989. Tammy married Jeff Blanton & together they had two sons.

While in Mississippi, Tammy worked at Columbus Air Force Base, in Civil Engineering for over 20 years.

For the past two years, Tammy lived with Keith, Joy & Preston Duck, whom she loved dearly. They welcomed her in their home and saw that she had the best care possible. Tammy loved her plants and all flowers. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles, diamond art, reading, trying different foods and especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Being a member of Parkburg Baptist Church brought her much joy.

She loved her Sunday School class, the Sisterhood gatherings, worship and fellowship with all. Tammy truly never met a stranger.

Tammy is survived by her mother & stepfather, Tommy & Cindy Sharp, her sons, Jeremy Drake Blanton (Candace) and Travis Logan Blanton, her brothers, Keith Duck (Joy), Wayne Duck (Melanie) and Shane Duck, her grandchildren, Ridge and Ensley Blanton, Jazleigh and Kaiden Crump. She also is survived by her stepsisters, Crystal, Destiny, Laura and Ayla Sharp and Tina Schmidt, her stepbrother, Clinton Sharp. Tammy loved her special aunts, Dot Nanney, Monica Orr and Stephanie Mitchell. She also leaves dear cousins, nieces and nephews that meant the world to her.

A service celebrating Tammy’s life will be held on June 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Parkburg Baptist Church, with Bro. Danny Rachel officiating. Burial will follow in Parkburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service.
