Golfers take a swing at 2025 Tennessee Dream Makers Classic
SHARON, Tenn. — One local organization hosted a special golf tournament for a good cause.
The Tennessee Dream Makers Classic golf tournament was held Friday at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon.
The tournament is held every year by St. Johns Community Services.
This year, more than a dozen teams came to compete.
“We thank the community for their support,” said Alan Thornton, President and CEO of St. John’s Community Services. “Dwayne always says we’re in the community for the community. That’s what it’s all about, is helping our neighbors that need a little boost to live their best life.”
“Everything that’s being done today, all the resources that are being generated to help support our services that we offer in all the surrounding counties, which is Lake, Obion, Weakley, Henry, Carroll, Benton, Madison, and Shelby counties,” said Dwayne Webb, State Director of Operation, St. John’s Community Services.
St. John’s Community Services helps to advance inclusive communities where every person, including those with intellectual disabilities, domestic violence survivors, and people experiencing homelessness, has the right and opportunity to live their best life.
