Police say social media, Skycop cameras led to arrest of woman, teen for park fight

FROM THE DYERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT VIA FACEBOOK 6/20/25:

A Dyersburg woman and a Dyersburg teenager have been arrested for disorderly conduct following an investigation into a fight at Okeena Park earlier this month, which used social media and the City’s Skycop Cameras.

Dyersburg Police Chief Thomas Langford said Mishaya Watson, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested as a result of the investigation into the June 6th fight. The case is still under investigation and may result in charges against others.

“We will do everything possible to identify and locate people who cause problems at our parks and recreation areas,” Langford said. “No one should be allowed to ruin a good thing for everyone. We follow social media and have cameras at those locations. We will use whatever tools are necessary to keep these areas safe for everyone.”
