Elks Lodge #192 gives back to local first responders
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local organization is celebrating first responders!
Elks Lodge #192 is giving back to those who sacrifice so much for others.
The lodge offered an appreciation lunch Saturday from 10 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon at 28 Executive Drive in Jackson.
The members of the lodge provided burgers, hotdogs and all the delicious sides to local police, firefighters, sheriff deputies and other first responders.
The organization says it’s important to recognize the hard work and dedication of first responders and all they do for the public.
The Elks Lodge #192 is a fraternal organization dedicated to strengthening the local community.
“We’re probably one of the biggest lodges in West Tennessee. We do it to show our first responders: sheriff’s department, police department, fire department, ambulance service; our appreciation and our support,” said Carlton Haywood, president of Elks Lodge 192.
The Elks #192 also plan to host an Independence Day celebration on July 4 at 7 p.m.
