‘Fire on the Water’ races continue at Beech Lake

LEXINGTON, Tenn.—One local city revs up some fun to kick off the first official weekend of Summer! 

The ‘Fire on the Water Boat Races’ is happening this weekend at Beech Lake in Lexington.

The races kicked off at 9 in the morning and the event is drawing a crowd! Spectators are fired up to see boats drag race across the lake and tickets are 10 dollars per person.

The drag races offer exciting runs between all kinds of boats including jet boats, flat bottoms, V-drives and more; some hitting speeds of more than 170 miles per hour.

The family-fun event is presented by River Ratt Drag Association and organizers say it has something for everyone to enjoy.

If you missed out on Saturday’s fun, the event continues Sunday with races beginning at 9 in the morning.
