Jackson Parks and Rec invites residents to dance the night away
JACKSON, Tenn.—If you travel through downtown Jackson Saturday evening, you just might see residents dancing in the streets!
The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation is kicking off summer with its ‘Heart of the City Dance.’
The event invites residents to put on their dancing shoes and dance the night away.
The event begins at 6 in the evening with music provided by DJ Von. The dancing will take place in front of City Hall downtown until 9.
“It’s a huge combination of area wide dance teams, dance companies, and groups basically coming together to celebrate dance and bringing it into the area of Jackson,” said Vonnie Howard II, DJ Von.
This special event is provided free of charge and filled with fun for the entire family.
