JACKSON, Tenn. — The Better Business Bureau is alerting us to the latest scam that they are seeing in West Tennessee.

Job scams are continuing to be seen around out area.

In this particular case, they are sending you applications or links to setup an interview.

Toddnetta Trice with the Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South gave us some red flags to look out for.

If the job opportunity is not listed on the company’s website, be cautious — or if there is no contact information listed to verify the employee.

Also, email addresses or phone numbers do not match the business are a definite red flag.

“All these really notable companies are saying, ‘hey, they came across my resume, they came across my information, and they think I would be a perfect for a job title that already matched very closely for what I’m currently doing,” Trice said.

You can always report these interaction to the BBB. This helps others not get scammed, and also helps track the scammers down.
