Rockabillys hosts ‘A League of Their Own’ screening ahead of spin-off game
JACKSON, Tenn. — One exciting event returns to the Hub City, bringing some friendly competition.
The 2nd annual “A Game of Their Own,” a spin-off of the “A League of Their Own” movie, is taking place Tuesday evening.
Ahead of the big game, the Jackson Rockabillys hosted a movie night of the film, in addition to a reenactment of the practice and tryouts.
The actual game will be Tuesday night at Rockabillys Stadium at 7 p.m, with gates opening at 6 p.m.
“This is the Racine Belles against the Rockford Peaches, playing right here in full costume, full uniform. Ladies came in from all over several states to try out and be a part of this. So tomorrow night is the game itself,” said Dennis Bastien, president and general manager of the Jackson Rockabillys.
The Jackson Rockabillys will have many exciting events coming up including Bluey night on June 29, July 4 fireworks, a Yung Gravy concert in July, Crowder in early September, the Beach Boys in late September and so much more!
