Local rapper, ARTIC, releases his take on ‘Blue Suede Shoes’

LOCAL RAPPER, ARTIC, RELEASES HIS TAKE ON “BLUE SUEDE SHOES” “Blue Suede Shoes” is Now Streaming Everywhere from No Reverse Records 

Jackson, TN, June 27, 2025 — Jackson and New York City-based record label No Reverse Records announce the release of ARTIC‘s single Blue Suede Shoes, inspired by Jackson native Carl Perkins. The single was released June 27th on No Reverse Records. Recorded in his hometown of Jackson, TN, Blue Suede Shoes was written to pay homage to both rockabilly and hip hop music. 

Blue Suede Shoes is the first release of a larger album project in development for late 2025. A recent graduate of the University of Memphis-Lambuth Music & Entertainment program, ARTIC (Chance Mitchell) will debut the song on July 26th at Jackson Rockabillys Stadium as part of an opening performance for Yung Gravy. 

The song was written, produced, and recorded by Chance Mitchell with additional mixing and mastering by Connor Huggins and guitar from Shane Bastable. 

No Reverse Records is led by Ashley Kate Adams and was co-founded in New York City by her & Mitchell Walker.

ABOUT “ARTIC”
Chance Mitchell (Artic) – is a Jackson, TN-born and based rapper. Chance is a recent graduate of the University of Memphis-Lambuth Music and Entertainment program. He has been rapping for 16 years and most recently opened for Lathan Warlick at the Civic Center and on the Mainstage at the Vintage Makers Festival in Downtown Jackson. He recently signed as an artist with NYC and Jackson-based developmental label, No Reverse Records. His original debut album will be distributed on all platforms in 2025. @artic_731

Launching in New York City in 2021 after a decade of producing independently and in collaboration, Record Producer Mitchell Walker and Independent Creative Producer Ashley Kate Adams of AKA Studio Productions announced their Independent Record Label, No Reverse Records.
