Mr. Thomas David “Tommy” Quinton, 60, passed away on June 26, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 15, 1965, in Union City, Tommy was the beloved son of Barbara Quinton of Troy and the late David Quinton.
Tommy’s spirit was an inspiration to everyone he met during his illness. He attended Obion County Central High School and worked in many different trades throughout his life. Known for his creativity, Tommy used his artistic talent with charcoals to bring beauty and life to paper. He loved the outdoors, animals, woodworking, remodeling, building jet engines, and making those around him laugh with his humor and wit. He had a gift for creating unique and unusual items from discarded things, and his presence could light up any room.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Quinton of Troy; sisters, Kim Gibson (Rainey) of Jackson and Jennifer Quinton of Troy; nephew, Morgan Quinton (Elizabeth) of Clarksville; great niece, Hallie Quinton; and great nephew, Hudson Quinton. Tommy was also preceded in death by his beloved pup, Snickers.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy, officiated by Brother Rick Roberts. Pallbearers will be family and friends. There will be no visitation, and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to made to donor’s choice and share a smile with someone.
