Chester County Health Department reopens with new renovations

HENDERSON, Tenn. — One local facility reopens for the community, and to celebrate, they held a special ribbon cutting.

The City of Henderson hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the Chester County Health Department‘s grand re-opening.

The new department is located on 301 Quinco Drive in Henderson.

They offer traditional public heath services like immunizations shots and STD screenings.

“I try to tell people it’s like a health information center,” said Ralph Aivarado, Commissioner for the Tennessee Department for Health. “If you don’t know where to go, what to do, you’re in some kind of a crisis when it comes to your health, you can come here and our staff are going to be friendly, they’re gonna try to help get you connected to the best place to get your treatment.”

They also offer Narcan boxes for anyone struggling with addiction.
