Discovery Park of America Celebrates Independence Day with Two-Day Event

Discovery Park of America is expanding its 2025 Independence Day celebration to a full weekend of activities and events for the whole family.

The weekend will include reenactments, historical demonstrations and community celebrations throughout Discovery Park’s 50 acre Heritage Park.

The celebration of America’s independence will feature a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including a ceremonial ringing of the Liberty Bell, reenactments of the Boston Tea Party and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Visitors can also enjoy patriotic sing-alongs, old-fashioned games, scavenger hunts and more.

As part of the activities on Friday, July 4 the Museum and Heritage park will be participating in the national Let Freedom Ring® Celebration. In accordance with U.S. Congressional Resolution Number 25, passed in 1963, bells across the country are rung 13 times at exactly 2 p.m. on July 4 each year, in honor of the thirteen original states.
