Perfect Again Thursday, Getting Hot this Weekend, Storms Back in the Forecast… But When?
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

If you are hoping to catch a firework show but have plans on Friday night, you have several options in West Tennessee to still see a show. Medina, Milan and Bolivar are all having small festivals and firework shows on Thursday evening/night. The big show in Jackson at the airport is still on tap for Friday night. The weather will be a little nicer on Thursday night just due to the fact it will be less humid on Thursday. It is still going to be nice on Friday but as we head into the weekend, the heat and humidity is going to be on the rise. There are some storms in the forecast but chances do not even climb up to 10% until Sunday. Catch the latest forecast information coming up here.

THIS WEEK:
Another extended dry spell started on Wednesday and will stick around into the upcoming weekend. Skies were mostly sunny on Wednesday and the winds were light and come out of the north. The northerly winds kept the humidity down making for a really nice day. Highs still made it up to the upper 80s to around 90° but it will be a dry heat for Mid South standards. Wednesday night lows will fall down again to the upper 60s. Rain is not in the forecast on Wednesday night.

Thursday will be a repeat of Wednesday with mostly sunny skies, a light breeze out of the north and overall another great day. Temperatures might be a little warmer with high reaching the low 90s but it will again not be humid on Thursday. Rain again is NOT in the forecast and Thursday night lows will fall down to the upper 60s to around 70° to start off our 4th of July.

One of the nicer 4th of July’s in a while is on the way for us in West Tennessee. We are not expecting any rain and should continue to see mostly sunny skies. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s and it will be a very humid day. The winds are forecast to come out of the east but the heat index still could reach close to 100° in the afternoon and evening hours. The weather will be very nice for all outdoor firework displays or outdoors plans on the 4th. Friday night lows will fall down to the low 70s to kick off the upcoming weekend.

THIS WEEKEND:
We are looking at a mostly dry and very nice weekend across West Tennessee so make some outdoor plans to celebrate our country’s Independence Day. It is going to be quite hot this weekend and the humidity is going to be higher during the weekend than during the week because the winds are expected to return to the south for both Saturday and Sunday. This could lead to a pop up shower or two but as of now, rain chances are only 10% on Saturday and 20% on Sunday. Severe weather seems unlikely so do not let the isolated shower chance on Sunday stop you from doing things outside. Highs for both days will reach the mid 90s but it will feel in the mid 100s at times so expect another heat advisory to be issued for the upcoming weekend. We are still expecting mostly sunny skies but with the humidity being high, some clouds will develop in the afternoon and evening hours as with mostly clear nights. Overnight lows will also be quite high this weekend and only fall to the low to mid 70s. Make some plans and enjoy the wonderful upcoming 3 day weekend if you are lucky enough to get one!
