WBBJ 7 Forecast Update

WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

If you didn’t get to go to the events of Friday, there are plenty of events going on again tonight! We’ll continue with a hot and humid Weekend with most not seeing any rain. Only a slight chance of that isolated storm both Today and Sunday.

THIS WEEKEND:

We are looking at a mostly dry and very nice weekend across West Tennessee so make some outdoor plans to celebrate our country’s Independence Day. It is going to be quite hot this weekend and the humidity is going to be higher during the weekend than during the week because the winds are expected to return to the south for both Saturday and Sunday.

Here is our forecast for Saturday ahead.

10

This could lead to a pop up shower or two but as of now, rain chances are only 20% on Saturday and 20% on Sunday. Severe weather seems unlikely so do not let the isolated shower chance on Sunday stop you from doing things outside. Highs for both days will reach the mid 90s but it will feel in the mid 100s at times so expect another heat advisory to be issued for the upcoming weekend. We are still expecting mostly sunny skies but with the humidity being high, some clouds will develop in the afternoon and evening hours as with mostly clear nights. Overnight lows will also be quite high this weekend and only fall to the low to mid 70s. Make some plans and enjoy the wonderful upcoming 3 day weekend if you are lucky enough to get one!

NEXT WEEK:

Showers and storms are expected to return next week to West Tennessee but it doesn’t look like a severe storm type set up. That being said, as hot and humid as it is, a strong pulse storm or two will be possible each day from Monday through Thursday. Rain chances are 30% on Monday, 40% on Tuesday, 60% on Wednesday and 50% on Thursday as of now. The winds all week will come out of the southwest or west keeping the temperatures up but also keeping the dew point high. A cold front will approach from the northwest west in the middle of the week but should stall out and not move through our area. Highs will reach the low 90s each day with morning lows in the low 70s each morning. Expected periods of sun and clouds with partly to mostly cloudy skies each afternoon next week.
