Decatur Co. Sheriff Dept: Arrest warrant leads to drug charges

On June 17, 2025, deputies with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Cedar Bluff Drive in Decaturville to serve an active Violation of Probation arrest warrant on suspect Megan Lee. Upon arrival, Ms. Lee exited the residence and attempted to walk away. She was instructed to stop but continued walking and was ultimately met by a deputy positioned on the opposite side of the residence. Ms. Lee was informed of the warrant and placed under arrest.

During the encounter, Ms. Lee attempted to hand money to an individual at the residence. Investigators observed what appeared to be narcotics in her possession. A plastic bag containing a white crystal-like substance was recovered and later field tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing approximately 8.61 grams.

While in custody and during a standard change of clothing and search procedure at the Decatur County Detention Center, additional narcotics were discovered concealed inside Ms. Lee’s clothing. A plastic bag containing a yellowish-white paste/powder-like substance was located inside a latex glove hidden in her undergarments. This substance also tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed approximately 1.18 grams.

As a result, Megan Lee was charged with the following:

-Charge 1
Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamines
-Charge 2
Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility

The above defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
