Town Hall being organized for City of Jackson District 3

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CITY OF JACKSON:

City of Jackson to Host District 3 Town Hall featuring Love Your Block and The Greater Jackson Financial Empowerment Center

Jackson, Tenn. – The City of Jackson’s Neighborhood Services Department and the Office of  Financial Empowerment will host a community town hall for residents of District 3 at the request of Councilwoman Candice Busby on Thursday, July 17 at 6:30 PM at Love and Truth  Church (565 Oil Well Rd., Jackson, TN 38305). 

This event will spotlight two key programs serving Jackson residents: 

  • Love Your Block – An initiative led by Neighborhood Services that provides free lawn  care, exterior home repairs, and access to a mobile tool shed to support neighborhood  revitalization and resident pride. 
  • Greater Jackson Financial Empowerment Center – A program of the Office of Financial  Empowerment offering free, one-on-one professional financial counseling to any  Jackson resident aged 18 or older. Services include support with reducing debt, building  savings, improving credit, and achieving financial goals. 

Community members are encouraged to attend, hear from their District 3 City Council  Representative, learn more about these services, and engage in conversation about resources  available to support stronger neighborhoods and financial well-being.
