4-year-old killed in 2-vehicle collision on US Hwy 51
OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms a 4-year-old died Tuesday as a result of a collision between two vehicles on U.S. Highway 51.
In a preliminary report released by THP, 27-year-old Keylon Pevy of Tennessee was traveling on U.S. Highway 51 in a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle struck a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by 38-year-old Jesus Castro of Tennessee, who was parked off the roadway.
A 4-year-old passenger in Pevy’s vehicle sustained fatal injury, while Pevy and a 7-year-old passenger in the same vehicle were both injured, according to the THP’s Jackson District.
Neither Castro nor his passenger, 24-year-old Jesus Moya Ramirez of Tennessee, were injured.
Charges against Pevy are pending investigation. No files were charged against Castro.
All individuals involved were wearing a seatbelt.
