South Gibson Football Preview
The South Gibson Hornets football team are putting in work for the 2025 season.They are trying to have more
of a bounce back campaign as last year they only won two games in their district and just four games on
the season. But, they did do some good being that they hauled off a three game winning streak early in the season with an
offense that averaged 20 points during those games. That
benefits them now because they are returning 10 starters
on that same offense and that defense had plenty of
ups and downs but showed flashes due to the fact
in three of their matchups they held one team to thirteen
points, three points to another and completely
shut out one opponent. We caught up with head coach
Ben Johnson and he spoke about the work they have
been putting in this offseason and how important leadership
is for this team in particular.
putting in the effort had a pretty good offseason feel good about the work that they put in up until
this point our guys are hungry we had a pretty mediocre season last year and guys think they have a bad taste in their mouth from that so i think feel positive about this year. Like our seniors our
team we have a leadership council which is made up of mostly seniors but their is some juniors and sophomores on their as well we meet once a week doing a book study that these guys are going over trying to become better leaders and ultimately at the end of the day help our team and
help themselves as individuals.“
