Milan senior facility hosts Alzheimer’s fundraiser
MILAN, Tenn.—One local living facility in Milan hosts an event to support those struggling with Alzheimer’s.
Dogwood Pointe Senior Living, offering assisted living & memory care by Americare in Milan, offers a memorable day of fun and fundraising.
The event kicked off at noon Saturday and continued until 7pm at the facility at 2080 Craig Drive.
There was live music scheduled throughout the day, delicious food, cornhole, a dunk tank and more.
“Our first fundraiser was the balloon paintings that the residents did themselves and I think we’re over $1700. So, today was to do music, dunking tank, a bake sale, and selling food. The heat has been extremely hot today,” said Joann Long, Lifestyle Coordinator, Arbors of Dogwood Pointe.
All proceeds from the day’s event will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association of TN.
