MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — McNairy County Schools has announced that federal funding has been released following a recent pause. See the full release from the  director for McNairy County Schools, Greg Martin, below:

McNairy County Parents:

Today we received notification that the federal funds for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) have been released after being paused on June 30th.

These federal funds allow the continuation of the Project ENRICH after-school program at each school (Mon-Thur). The elementary and middle school’s program will begin on Monday, August 4th. AHS and MCHS will begin their after-school programs on Monday, August, 18th, The Project ENRICH grant is a very competitive grant which we have to apply for every 5 years. We have had the good fortune to have been a part of the 21st CCLC program since 2000. This program provides homework help, tutoring, healthy snacks, physical fitness, STEM, and other enrichment activities for students and families.

We would like to thank all parents and guardians who reached out to local, state and federal representatives in support of our after-school programs. Your help was instrumental in securing the release of these funds prior to the beginning of school.
