Alamo Pizza Pro issues statement on closure, recent concerns

STATEMENT FROM PIZZA PRO (ALAMO, TN) VIA FACEBOOK 7/21/25:

Alamo Pizza Pro Update

Dear Valued Customers,

We want to address the recent temporary closure of Alamo Pizza Pro for repairs and cleaning. Yes, we did experience a pest issue several years ago that was promptly resolved as any responsible restaurant would.

Upon seeing those old photos circulated online last Friday, I mistakenly believed they were recent, prompting my comments about staging. I am not familiar with the current social media trends, but I quickly learned that these images were from years ago.

I assure you that I would never serve food in poor conditions and I am truly sorry for the anxiety caused by the circulation of years old pictures/videos. My family and I enjoy meals from Alamo Pizza Pro ourselves – we understand how important it is to provide delicious and safe food for our community.

I would also like to note that last Friday’s health inspection reported just one roach – which is far below the numbers depicted in the old photos. We acted quickly to call pest control, and I fully acknowledge our health score dropped from 98 to 78 in a short time due to various findings. While the score was still passing, I wasn’t satisfied and decided to close for a thorough cleaning and repairs before reopening.

It’s unfortunate that past issues have been used to tarnish our reputation. I recognize that some former employees harbor resentment, and this can lead to misinformation.

I am also sorry for any distress caused by deleting or blocking some individuals from our page; I was advised to manage our communications carefully during this time.

We’re committed to coming back stronger than ever and welcome any constructive questions or feedback. Despite facing personal challenges due to these issues, I remain confident that with the support of our community, we’ll overcome.

We anticipate reopening soon and appreciate your continued support. We love Crockett County and can’t wait to serve you again!

Warm regards,

Stuart and Kim Massey

PREVIOUS STATEMENT FROM PIZZA PRO (ALAMO, TN) VIA FACEBOOK 7/18/25:

To our valued community,

I want to take a moment to address the recent posts and comments circulating on social media regarding Alamo Pizza Pro. We take all concerns seriously, and in response to the feedback we’ve received, we have decided to temporarily close our doors. This closure will allow us to address the issues at hand thoroughly.

We will not reopen until we are confident that we are operating at 100%. As a small, family-owned business, we have a deep love for Crockett County and take pride in being a part of the Alamo community. It is deeply discouraging to see so much negativity directed towards me personally and our business. I need this time to recover emotionally from that impact.

Running Alamo Pizza Pro means everything to me, and we have always strived to be generous and good corporate citizens in our community. Please know that we are committed to making things right, and I assure you that you will be proud of our business when we return.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. We look forward to serving you again soon.

Sincerely,
