City of Jackson seeks public input for infrastructure improvements

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Hub City wants your input for possible infrastructure improvements.

Recently, the Planning, Growth and Development Division for the City of Jackson was awarded “Safe Streets for All” which is a federal grant to improve the overall safety for people who walk, ride bikes, or drive vehicles.

After a first round of public input to identify roadway issues residents are most concerned with, the City of Jackson invites residents to participate in a public meeting to discuss possible ways to address these concerns.

“There is always a need to improve things and you never know sitting still. We’re hoping this action plan will lead to additional funds to help us improve the streets in Jackson and make it safe for everyone,” said Stan Pilant, director of the Planning, Growth and Development Division for the City of Jackson.

The presser will be held on Friday, July 25 at 5 p.m. at the Jackson Amp. They encourage everyone to come and share their ideas and opinions.
