Contestants prepare for start of Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant

JACKSON, Tenn. — Get your sashes and crowns ready because Miss Tennessee Volunteer is almost here.

All 35 contestants and board members gathered at Chick-Fil-A to grab a bite to eat before the start of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant.

The competition starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday and will run through Saturday, when they will crown a new Miss Tennessee Volunteer.

“Miss Tennessee Volunteer will travel the state, they will talk to children, they will have a character trait to talk to those children about, and just really provide an understanding of what it is to wear that crown,” said Nichole Lawrence, board member for Miss Tennessee Volunteer.

Chick-Fil-A will be providing the young women meals all week long.
