16-year-old, 18-year-old charged in connection to recent shooting, police say
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:
[Jackson, TN] — On July 15, 2025, at 12:27 PM, Jackson Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Preston St. Officers located multiple shell casings in the roadway, and investigators identified a suspect vehicle in the 500 block of N. Cumberland St.
After the execution of multiple search warrants over the past week at various locations located in Jackson, TN, investigators recovered multiple firearms and multiple rounds of ammunition. A 16-year-old male was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Tampering with Evidence. An 18-year-old male, Jeremiah Forbis, was also arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Contempt of Court in connection with the shooting.
