Back-to-school bash held in Selmer

SELMER, Tenn. — Residents in one local county gathered for a time of community fun and preparation.

Earlier Thursday evening, Selmer Parks & Recreation, McNairy County Health Department, and McNairy County Parks & Recreation teamed up for their back to school bash.

They had giveaways for essential school supplies. The event also hosted many shirt vendors, and local boutiques stocked with the latest back-to-school styles.

“I think it’s been a really great turnout so far and I hope that everyone is enjoying themselves and getting what they need, and it shows that we’re all working together,” said Leigh Hamm with Selmer Parks and Rec.

This is the organization’s first year throwing this event and hope to continue the festivities for next year.
