Robert Louis Moser, known to family and friends as Bob, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. He was 83 years old.

Born on January 6, 1942 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Bob was the son of the late Leslie Warner Moser and Nell Marie Hague Barger. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War, a chapter in his life that shaped his deep sense of duty and resilience.

He was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and the steady guidance he offered to many over the years. He continued to use his construction skills even after retirement, until finally passing on his tools well into his seventies.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Canova Barger, and his brothers James Barger, Joe David Barger and Paul Moser.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy McPeake Moser; his son, Robert Moser II; his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Moser; his beloved grandson, Dominic Moser; his brothers, Malcolm Moser and Jerry Wayne Barger; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty, and love for his family and community.

A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with burial to follow with military honors at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM, two hours prior to the service.
