Beech Bluff hosts first-ever Duck Days

BEECH BLUFF, Tenn.—-It may be steamy outside, but that didn’t stop one local community from debuting a new event.

The Beech Bluff Recreation Center debuted its Duck Days of Summer event!

It began at 10 Saturday morning at 4488 Beech Bluff Road with a ton of great family-friendly activities available to enjoy.

There was something for everyone with games, bounce houses, sporting competitions, a slime war, and more.

Those interested in more relaxing fun, can enjoy the live music and dancing, or visit one of the many vendors and food trucks on site.

“We were going to release the ducks in the Forked Deer River but it’s not moving quite as fast as we’d like. Hopefully, the fire department can come out here with some hoses. We’re going to put some tarps in the ditch and let them go in the ditch. Then we’ll have some winners and some prizes to give away for their Duck Derby,” said Lisa Lovelace, Events Coordinator for Beech Bluff Community Center.

If you missed out on the events earlier Saturday, it’s not too late, the event continues until 10pm.
