Boil Water Advisory Issued for the Town of Hollow Rock

Hollow Rock has issued a Boil Water Advisory. Details from the town are listed below.

Precautionary Boil Water Notice

HOLLOW ROCK, Tenn.—On July 25, 2025 at approximately 8:45 P.M. the Town of Hollow Rock experienced a loss of water pressure in the distribution system due to an unexpected electricity failure. Although we do not suspect any contamination of the water delivered to our customers, under an abundance of caution we are issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory until the water analysis is complete.

Until further notice, water customers are advised to boil water prior to using it for drinking or food preparation.

As a precaution, customers should take the following steps:

1. Prior to boiling, the water should be strained through a clean cloth to remove any sediment or floating material.
2. The water should then be heated to a vigorous boil, and the rolling boil should be maintained for one minute to insure disinfection.

According to the Mayor, residents can pick up water at City Hall from 11 to 3pm today.
