‘Maggie & Friends Therapy Dogs’ presents check to Kirkland Cancer Center

JACKSON, Tenn. — Maggie & Friends Therapy Dogs held a special check presentation earlier Monday at the Kirkland Cancer Center.

The nonprofit donated $200 dollars to show their gratitude for Kirkland Cancer Center’s continued support for their cause.

Maggie & Friends’ goal is to spread smiles by surprising patients with a loving, furry friend.

“Therapy dogs are a little bit different than a service dog. Our dogs are not going to help us cross the street or get anything out of the refrigerator for us; what we’re going to do is make people smile and feel better,” said Cathi Roberts, president of Maggie & Friends Therapy Dogs.

They encourage dog owners with a friendly pup to volunteer them to help spread smiles across the Hub City.
