McNairy Central Football Preview
We preview the McNairy Central Bobcats football team.
They are looking to have more of a bounce back season after last year’s campaign. Now they kicked
off the season with a win over Humboldt winning 51 to 27. But, then
went on a six game losing streak. In those matchups they weren’t able
to score more than 14 points. After that they finished the season winning
two of their last three. As far as this season goes they have about 25 freshman
and 15 to 20 sophomores. So the team is pretty young however they do have seniors
like Jabari Wooden,Kay Stone, Kendall, and William James that played last year and knows
what it’s like to be under the lights and will be the leaders for this squad. We spoke
with second year head coach Justin Truett and he talked about what his guys have
to lock in on and take a listen.

“Everything that were doing is physical but it’s more on mental were focusing a lot on our mental
toughness this year you know there was some games last year that i think our mental toughness
could of won so we need to focus on that we need to focus more on our special teams and our little things i think we all believe little things create big things and that’s our end goal to win the game and so we gotta work on those small things and i think our kids have really responded well.”
