The Mill expands Workshop Offering with Excel for Business

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MILL WORKSPACE:

The Mill Expands Workshop Offering with Excel for Business

The Mill Workspace will be hosting the workshop “Intro to Excel: Building Your Foundation” on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The workshop will be held at The Mill Workspace, located at 217 S. Mill Ave. in Dyersburg, TN from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Leading the workshop is Amber Brandau. A graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin, Brandau has been an educator at Dyersburg State Community College and the American Job Center for over a decade, where she serves in the position of Financial Coordinator. Brandau has also spent the past five years helping individuals gain the skills needed for career advancement in her teaching role at the Workforce Development Center.

This beginner-friendly workshop is designed specifically for business owners, managers, and staff. Brandau says this workshop will allow learners to build a solid understanding of worksheets.

“Excel is the business standard for organizing and analyzing business data and essential for business owners and managers to operate at business,’’ stated Chris Donaldson, CEO of The Mill.

“Participants will learn how to navigate the Excel interface, enter and format data, and use basic formulas and functions to perform simple calculations,” explained Brandau.

By the end of the class, Brandau says participants will feel confident using Excel in professional settings.

Attendees are welcome to bring their personal computers to the workshop; however, it is not a workshop requirement.
