The University of Memphis at Lambuth welcomes Jenny Miles as their new Executive Director

JACKSON, Tenn.–One local college announces a new face to their campus for the upcoming fall semester.

The university of Memphis Lambuth Campus announced Jenny Miles as their new executive director.

“I am really excited to bring those experiences to the role as executive director. I think I have really good preparation from the previous professional experiences,” Jenny Miles, executive director for the University of Memphis at Lambuth shares.

Miles has worked at numerous colleges and universities across western region.

Her experience includes serving as vice president, working in student affairs, and student services in numerous academic roles.

Miles has more than 30 years of expertise and says she is excited to apply this to her new role.

“This is a new experience, the Lambuth campus is new and the university is new and Jackson is new but I am very excited to be here,” Miles adds.

She is originally from Alabama. however, southern hospitality is no stranger to her.

                                                   

One of her favorite parts of joining the U of M at Lambuth team has been the hospitality.

“I’m really grateful to everyone who supported me in getting this role. Really excited to learn as much as I can, I’ve been asking a lot of questions, going to a lot of meetings. Really hoping to learn a lot before making any big decisions. I’m, just really happy to be here,” she adds.

Miles is looking forward to meeting the community of U of M at Lambuth.

“I really have not had the opportunity to interact with all of our faculty, all of our staff, all of our students. So, I am so excited when classes start because I will get to meet all of our faculty and all of our students.”

Miles has dived head first into making University of Memphis at Lambuth her new home.

“I was so excited when I got this job, I went out and bought a bunch of blue clothes. So that is something that I am excited about. I really want to show that school spirit, and I love royal blue,” she adds.

She also invites potential students to the new student orientation on August 12.

“All the students who attend our new student orientation receive a $1,200 scholarship. It’s a real privilege to be able to offer that to our students,” Miles says.

Miles also shared her passion is working with college students during these pivotal years.
