731 Fun Run kicks off in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — There were plenty of 731 Day events happening in the Hub City Thursday, and one made sure residents got their steps in.
Runners laced up their sneakers for this evening’s ‘731 Fun Run’ at the West Tennessee Farmers Market. The “731K” included a 1 mile family fun run or walk.
All paces and abilities were welcomed, including parents with their little ones in strollers.
Organizers say the event is definitely fun, but also raises awareness for the upcoming opening of the Ronald McDonald House in Jackson.
“For 731 Day, we are once again introducing ourselves to the community. We are opening our Ronald McDonald House in November. Jackson’s been so welcoming to us, to just come out and say ‘hi’ again and get ready to open our doors,” said Jill Crocker, executive director for the Ronald McDonald House.
The ‘fun run’ also included 731K socks for all those who registered to participate.
