Community prayer service held in Crockett County

ALAMO, Tenn. — An event brings people together to promote a spirit of unity.

A community prayer service was held in the Crockett County High School gym in Alamo Thursday evening.

Organizers say everyone was welcome to join them, offering prayers for school staff and students to begin the 2025-26 school year.

The pastor with First Baptist Church Alamo shared a brief message. Crockett county students led attendees in prayer and the event was broken into smaller prayer groups with the students.

Organizers say, for Christians, they have one defense and that’s prayer.
