Hub City Brewing celebrates 731 Day with ‘Made in Jackson 2025’
JACKSON, Tenn. — As celebrations for 731 Day comes to a close, there was a big event happening in downtown Jackson Thursday evening.
Made in Jackson 2025 returned for the ultimate 731 Day celebration.
For the first time, the made in jackson celebration was able to take place on 731 Day. The event was hosted by Hub City Brewing and sponsored by Leaders Credit Union.
“Usually we have Porchfest on 731 Day and by popular demand we have moved Porchfest to September 13, so we’re out of the heat and inside this year for 731 Day,” said Lizzie Emmons, program director for Our Jackson Home.
Local writers performed storytelling and poetry readings and artworks were on display. Reigning Miss Juneteenth USA Mackenzie Winters spoke before the music began.
Music was provided by Adam Johnson and Carita Cole.
Seb’s Shaved Ice was on site to help beat the heat and food was catered by Jackson’s Kitchen and Catering.
The highlight of Made in Jackson 2025 was the summer issue of the journal “Our Jackson Home.”
“Just meant to tell the stories authentically of people who live and work in Jackson, so people that make Jackson the really cool place that it is,” said Emmons.
This summer’s issue of Our Jackson Home was sponsored by the community foundation of west tennessee.
