JPD helps residents beat the heat with free refreshments on 731 Day
JACKSON, Tenn. — One local police department joins the community in celebrating 731 Day.
The Jackson Police Department was out Thursday handing out water bottles and popsicles to help residents cool off.
JPD visited the city hall and local farmers market in their police side by side filled with refreshing treats.
“It’s been a great amount of people. We’re right now in front of city hall and after this we’re going to head down to the farmers market to try to spread the love downtown today,” said Sgt. Curtis Cozart.
Sgt. Cozart also reminds residents that their annual National Night Out is coming up October 7.
